Tim Bosma's Murder Exposes Spoiled Rich Kid's Crimes ~ CONCLUSION

As I have already told you, Tim Bosma was last seen on May 6, 2013, and within days it was determined that Mark Smich and Dellen Millard were the culprits who stole his truck, murdered him and then burned his body to mere ash and fragments of bones.

After the police ignored pleas from the Babcock family and Shawn Lerner; they finally opened a case on the disappearance of 23 year old Laura Babcock. They initially didn't believe her loved ones because she had some mental health issues and was an escort in the sex industry; (as if this should be reasons to NOT look for someone!!! SMH).

In December 2013, when police conducted a search of Mark Smich's home, detectives found items belonging to Laura Babcock, including a red duffel bag, that had an ID tag with her handwritten name on it. They recovered the iPad that Shawn had given her, and Mark claimed as his own right after she was killed.

Shawn Lerner testified in court and although Laura Babcock's remains were never found; both Dellen Millard and Mark Smich were found guilty of first degree murder, meaning that on top of the 25 years they received for Tim Bosma's murder, they had another 25 years added consecutively. This means they would spend the minimum of 50 years in prison before they would be eligible to apply for parole.

Now, as I had mentioned, the police services had reopened the case pertaining to the death of Wayne Millard, Dellen's multi-millionaire father. It was initially ruled a suicide, now they were not so sure...

On November 29, 2012, Wayne Millard was found deceased with a gunshot right through his left eye. It wasn't until around this time that detectives learned there had been a lot of disagreements between Dellen and Wayne, in regards to the family business and how it was being run. With further investigation, police felt it was Dellen Millard who murdered his father, but he did this one alone.

This time, Dellen Millard faced only a trial judge, opting for a no jury trial. The trial began in June 2018. Once again, Millard thought he was being slick and chose not to testify on his own behalf. His legal team were very persistent with the suicide theory and that the Crown really didn't have any motives for him to murder his father. Let's just say that the Crown had a smoking gun, quite literally...

The Crown presented to the courts evidence, along with proof that Dellen Millard had purchased a gun; the very gun that killed his father. They had proof that Dellen was home as his cellphone pinged at his father's house from 1am to about 6am; the very time of death of Wayne Millard.

On September 24, 2018, Dellen Millard was found guilty, for the third time, of first degree murder of his father. The judge was satisfied with the evidence placed before him, saying Dellen Millard was guilty of shooting his own father in the eye, while he slept and was sentenced to another life in prison without a possibility of parole for now 75 years; meaning Dellen would be able to apply for parole when he is 103 years of age.

(As I have written before, there was a ruling in 2022 by the Supreme Court that doesn't allow inmates/convicted to have such a long sentence; the maximum anyone can get now is 25 years to life, with the eligibility of parole then. It was ruled as unconstitutional. Any additional years that would be added to a sentence had to be served concurrently now!!!)

AFTERMATH:

On January 12, 2018, Matthew Ward-Jackson, a friend of Dellen Millard was sentenced to 11 years in prison after he pled guilty to 9 charges including the sale of the .32 calibre Smith & Wesson revolver that he sold to Dellen MIllard.

It is clear that Dellen Millard has not learned a single thing by being imprisoned, as in 2021, he restrained a fellow inmate while another stabbed him.

The inmate survived, but after Millard plead no guilty, the weapons charge was dropped but he was once again convicted of assault in March 2023.

Both Mark Smich and Dellen Millard currently have an open appeal of their convictions in the murders of Tim Bosma and Laura Babcock. This remains pending. I DO feel the courts got it right when Dellen Millard even went to appeal his conviction of kiling his own father... This appeal was rejected.

It is really a sad world, when one man can orchestrate three gruesome deaths to people who were virtually innocent to him. I do feel that Mark Smich went along because he wanted Dellen's approval, something he was always looking for. I guess the legal system can be grateful for stupid criminals too; because had they not made the blunders they did, it's unlikely they would have faced much time behind bars.

How many people had to suffer because of a spoiled brat's idea of "cheap thrills"???

I want to end this case with deepest condolences to those who lost their lives to these b*stards. I hope that Tim Bosma, Laura Babcock and Wayne Millard find peace, wherever their souls lie. Much love to the loved ones who are left with an empty space in their lives and hearts because of these heartless men.

PS. I can add that Sharlene Bosma, has remarried, left the city of Hamilton and is raising their daughter with all the light and love she has, sharing with her, how great her daddy was. What an incredibly strong woman. May she find peace to the best of her ability.
