The Dirty Lil Secret Who Couldn't Let Go ~ Travis Alexander's Murder Part 2

 

We are now at the part where Travis Alexander had moved on from his former girlfriend, Jodi Arias; who was not taking the split well. Jodi seemed quite persistent on them "hooking up" one more time. 

Travis friends were able to inform the authorities later, that Jodi was actively stalking him, harassing him. She'd call non stop, she even slashed his tires. She did many more things leading up to his murder, but they will be revealed during the investigation and trial that followed.

On June 2, 2008, Jodi had rented a white vehicle; one people would not recognize. She told the rental company that she would only be using the car locally, but it was later discovered she put over 2800 miles on the vehicle. No one but Jodi Arias knew at this point what she was about to do and capable of...

On June 4th, 2008, Jodi Arias arrived at Travis Alexander's home. The two did engage in sexual behaviour (which was proven later by photos) and when Travis was done, he went to take a shower.

While he had his back turned in the shower, Jodi started her fatal attack on him. It was so excessive that forensics could not determine how many times he was stabbed, some say 29 others say 26; so later, the jury was told it was over 20 stab wounds. His throat was slit and he was shot  in the head, all while struggling from his shower stall. (We'll learn more about this as I write about the trial phase of this case).

Jodi Arias was clearly of sound mind when she committed the crimes because she also continued to call him, leaving messages just like she always did, obsessively even. It could have been a great alibi had she not left some vital clues behind in Travis Alexander's home and a trail of evidence leading right to her front door!!!

Travis was supposed to leave on a business trip on June 4th, and when he missed it, people found it odd but not suspicious enough to go check on their co-worker and friend. BUT finally on June 9th, 2008, the people from PPL became so concerned they went to Travis' home; where his roommates said he was out of town. Once they learned that wasn't true, they found the key to Travis' bedroom and fell upon the bloody and gruesome crime scene.

911 was called, and friends were very specifically pointing the finger to his unstable ex-girlfriend, Jodi Arias who was stalking him, had repeatedly hacked into his social media and has even gone as far as slashing his tires. The question here would be, why did Travis Alexander never file reports or charges against her? He clearly was the victim of domestic violence; was it because in that time period, it was frowned upon and laughed at, when a man said he was abused???
