Jason Vukovich ~ Victim turned Predator??? OR Vigilante deemed a menace??? You decide for yourself!!!

Hello our fellow crime junkies :) I am presenting the case of Jason Vukovich aka Alaskan Avenger. I really didn't know too much about this case until I was looking for vigilante actions, and how the justice system failed them; in MANY, MANY ways!!!

I guess the best place is to start at the beginning...

Jason Christian Vukovich was born on June 25, 1075 in the small town of Anchorage, Alaska. His mother married a man named Larry Lee Fulton when Jason was four years old, and Larry adopted Jason and his brother, Joel.

Jason admits that both his parents were very devote Christians, so it was very confusing for him that this very religious man would molest him and his brother when they were doing late night "prayers." Joel tried to keep the brunt of Fulton's abuse to him; attempting to protect his brother, Jason, but it was of no use... Larry Lee Fulton took pleasure in abusing both of the boys.

Larry Fulton ended up being a very bad father figure and even worse, he abused both Jason and his brother Joel; both sexually and physically. He often whipped them with anything he could get his hands on, including large pieces of wood or his belt.

When it seemed like fate intervened, or that the boys were finally safe, Larry Fulton was arrested in 1989; where it was no surprise he was charged and convicted with second-degree abuse and molestation (the "term" we used back in the day); of a minor, Unfortunately for Jason and his brother, Fulton was given a three year suspended sentence from Superior Court Judge Karl Johnstone. 

(To this day I do not understand why abusers of minors are ever given the chance to live back in society. It boggles my mind. As an SAV myself, I cannot fathom why a Judge or jury would make such a lenient ruling).

When Larry Fulton returned to the home, so did the abuse. It seemed this family of four had fallen through the cracks, with no authorities nor child services checking in on them. Jason took Joel and the two ran away when Jason was only 16 years old. Jason would end up in Washington state; but with no home, no ID nor a financial income; he was forced to resort to crimes like theft to survive. He gained noteriety with his criminal records going from Washington to Oregon, to Idaho to Montana and California.

It appears that Jason Vukovich returned to Alaska in 2008. Again, his criminal record spoke for itself with charges of theft, and possession of controlled substances. He WAS charged with the assault of his wife at the time, but he venomously denies. It wasn't until 2016 that Jason Vukovich would begin his own witch hunt for justice.
