The Facts Speak For Themselves ~ Gypsy Rose Blanchard Case Part 2
Gypsy had her own phone and laptop; joining a dating app for Christian singles, (Sorry, I find this so oddly ironic!!!) She met a man named Nicholas Godejohn.
Nicholas Godejohn was born May 20, 1989. He doesn't share too much information about his family; but we know he was from Big Bend, Wisconsin, USA. He was not completely uneducated, he had completed highschool. They chatted a lot, eventually their "meetings" became quite sexual, including some BDSM.
They DID connect in real life and were together for a time; not a long time, but it should be noted that Nicholas had some mental health issues himself including DID (Disassociative Identity Disorder) and was on the autism spectrum. What Gypsy chose to ignore in him was all the charges he had for indecent exposure!!!
The two continued their sexual relationship, even with Gypsy implying that they planned to elope, all while these two had begun plotting the murder of Dee Dee Blanchard. (This was in 2014).
When they returned home, Dee Dee went to take her daily nap, as she was dealing with uncontrolled sugars from having diabetes. Gypsy brought Nicholas into the house, supplied him with gloves, duct tape and a knife.
Nicholas did what he wqas instructed to do, he stabbed Dee Dee 17 times in the back while she slept. Where was Gypsy, you may ask??? She was hiding in the bathroom with her ears covered so she couldn't hear her mother's screams. It quickly becomes very clear that Gypsy had ZERO remorse for having her mother murdered... Her and Nicholas proceeded to have sex and then steal just over four thousand dollars from Dee Dee had stored. (It should be stated here that most of that money was child support from Rod Blanchard, who had tried to contact his daughter through the years, but Dee Dee blocked their communication).
The two took the money and stayed at a local hotel, while planning their next move BUT before they did this; they foolishly (on their part), mailed the murder weapon ~ the knife, to Nicholas' home address; then taking the greyhound bus, with Gypsy perfectly walking on her own two legs.
It didn't take long for people to realize Dee Dee was missing and called 911, who entered the quaint pink home. They found a gruesome, bloody scene in Dee Dee's room, but what they also noted was Gypsy's wheelchair, oxygen and medications were all at the home; causing people to panic thinking Gypsy could not survive without them. Family and friends immediately began gofundme accounts for funeral costs for Dee Dee, and possibly Gypsy.
Gypsy's neighbour and confidante, Aleah Woodmansee told the police about Gypsy's secret boyfriend and went to retrieve all the posts that occurred between Gypsy and Nicholas, which conveniently contained his name. The next day police in Waukesha County raided the Godejohns' Big Bend home. Godejohn and Gypsy-Rose surrendered and were taken into custody on charges of murder and felony armed criminal action.
