Justice for Junior ~ The Case of Mistaken Identity Part 2.

We left off at the part where the public were overwhelming the police with all their tips and identifying the suspects, fourteen in total, their ages ranged from 18 to 29. WTF?!! I am not going to say what I really think of these monsters, but I am sure most of you are feeling the same as I do...

Here is the list of suspects:

Kevin Alvarez, age 19
Luis Cabrera-Santos, age 25
Danel Fernandez, age 21
Elvin Garcia, age 23
Antonio Rodriguez Hernandez, age 24
Jonaiki Martinez-Estrella, age 24
Jose Muniz, age 21
Danilo Payamps-Pacheco, age 21
Gabriel Ramirez-Concepcion, age 26
Manuel Rivera, age 18
Diego Suero, age 29
Jose Taverez, age 21
Fredrick Then, age 20
Ronald UreƱa, age 29

The NYPD claim that Diego Suero is the ring leader of this Dominican gang, and the one who ordered the attack, that killed Junior. According to the videos the police seized, it looked like the one who dealt the fatal blow to Junior was Jonaiki Martinez-Estrella.

After viewing footage, the NYPD arrested Antonio Rodriguez Hernandez, Manuel Rivera, Jose Muniz and Danel Fernandez. The four perps were placed at Riker's Island, but they would not have an easy time, as they dealt with death threats from various other gangs, including their own.

Authorities decided it was best to put them in protective custody, and gave them more protection than they obviously deserved. (Sorry, things like this make me very angry. Why waste civilians tax dollars protecting such individuals)!!!

The protection may have been for naught because in December of 2018, Manuel Rivera was attacked in prison, by allegedly a member of a rival gang. It appears that one of the gang members, who was initially one of the prime suspects had flipped, and became a cooperating witness.

Stick around, I have one more blurb on this case... resulting in their convictions, trial and sentences.

To be continued...
