Don't F*ck With Cats!!! ~ The Luka Magnotta Crimes Part 1.

 

Hi Everyone. I am going to be splitting this case into two (possibly three) different blurbs because this man is a despicable human being, with his cruelty going beyond harming people. He didn't get a claim to fame over that...

But before we go down that road, let's dive into who this individual actually was. 

Luka Rocco Magnotta was not always who he was known as. He was born as Eric Clinton Kirk Newman. He was born on July 24, 1982 in Scarborough, Ontario, CANADA. According to Luka, his mother was rather abusive and had OCD very bad; his father was diagnosed with schizophrenia, in 1994 causing Luka to be raised by his grandmother. While living with her, and attending high school, he recieved a disability allowance but that wasn't enough to suit his lifestyle, and he became a prostitute, leading to him becoming an escort to finally performing in gay pornography and  a male stripper. 

Through all of this, he used various pseudo names. He finally legally changed his name from his birth name to Luka Rocco Magnotta on August 12, 2006.

We know that he worked in the adult sex industry, but he was not very well known, and those who did know him; they felt he was even below mediocre!!! He even tried out for a few TV shows, and after several cosmetic surgeries, it was all a waste of time; but he was desperate for attention. So much so that he cyberstalked himself and created several social media accounts to sing his own praises... Talk about a narcassist. (He even at one point to the woman he was dating that Karla Homolka and Paul Bernardo were his role models ~ this was in 2012).

Now let's get into some of his criminal activity...

In 2005, he faced various fraud charges; also taking advantage of a mentally challenged woman, to the tune of over $10,000 worth of goods. He was noted at this time to have significant psychiatric issues by the courts.

This is where, I think his most disgusting actions were...

In 2010, Magnotta decided to do something so insane to gain notoriety that it disturbs me to even write about his actions. He created a Youtube video titled "1 boy, 2 kittens"... in this video, he is seen purposely suffocating 2 kittens in a plastic bag, using a vacuum to suck out the air. A second video surfaced not much later of him drowning a cat in his bathtub... as if that was disturbing enough, he made a third video, showing him feeding a live kitten to a python. 

These actions were so appalling that a private facebook group was created to identify the man in the videos and have him held accountable for such animal cruelty. An animal rights group offered a reward to identify him. Local police, federal law enforcement agents and eventually the Montreal Law Enforcement, British police and American FBI got involved because they suspected it was Luka Magnotta, but since he travelled so much, this became international news; and the story shoots off from here...
