Don't F*ck With Cats ~ The Luka Magnotta Crimes Part 2.

I left off at the point where law enforcement, pretty much around the globe were looking for the man who killed several kittens on live videos, in disgusting ways. LEO (Law Enforcement Officers) knew who the "man" was, but they had a hard time locating him. Luka Rocco Magnotta was a master of disguise; but his need for being famous and his next crime were the final "nail in his coffin"; so to speak!!!

On May 25, 2012, Luka once again took to social media, on a ratchet site, where he posted an 11-minute long video of a naked man, tied to a bed frame and repeatedly being stabbed. He named the video "1 Lunatic, 1 Ice Pick".

Initially, it was believed that he used an ice pick but later it was confirmed to be a screwdriver. (The police obtained a much longer and more explicit video, revealing that cannibalism was most likely involved). Magnotta used a butcher knife to dismember the body, removing some of the flesh and feeding it to a dog. Before, cutting the body though, this sick fk performed sexual acts on the deceased. (I have no words!!!)

To top this all off, Magnotta was very ballsy when he posted a video 10 days prior to commiting this disturbing act, showing the items he was going to use. If that wasn't cocky enough for you, he booked a round trip ticket to Montreal, Quebec CANADA and back to Paris, France.

The LEOs made a major "oops" at this point because they were notified by a lawyer from Montana, as well as several people who viewed the video on bestgore; these leads and concerns were originally dismissed by the police. Later it was confirmed that the video was legit, and the victim was a male of Asian descent. Revealing that the body parts that were dispersed to various places, were of the same person.

On May 29, 2012, just before noon a package, with a red heart on it and bloody, arrived at the headquarters of the Conservative Party of Canada. It was the victim's left foot; half hour later, the local Postal service interrupted a package containing his left hand that was intended for the Liberal Party's headquarters.

A custodian in Snowdon, Montreal area, found a torso inside a suitcase that was so callously tossed away. He seen the suitcase on May 25th, but didn't move it until it was garbage pick-up day. Police discovered bloody clothes and human remains; but Magnotta got sloppy and left some identifying papers behind at the scene. After viewing footage from the building, police were confident the person who mailed the parcels and the vicious murderer were the one and only Luka Magnotta.

This led the police to search Magnotta's empty apartment, where they found blood in the refrigerator, the mattress, his table and in the bathroom. Magnotta did leave a parting gift for the investigators who when they searched his room, found " "If you dont like the reflection. Dont look in the mirror. I dont care [sic]", written inside his bedroom closet in red ink.

It was quickly revealed that the deceased victim was Jun Lin, on May 30th. (Before I explain about and who Jun Lin was, it needs to be noted that with the package that was intended for the Liberal Party, there was a letter, stating there were in total 6 body parts that have been mailed out to undisclosed locations, and that there should be no doubt the killer was going to kill again).

He wasn't lying. On June 5, 2012 the packages started to arrive. One was sent to St. George School in Vancouver, British Columbia. It contained the right foot of Jun Lin. A second package, holding the right hand, arrived at another school, False Creek Elementary School also located in Vancouver. It was quickly confirmed that these packages came from Montreal; the same location as the others.

(Sorry, to pause here... but how sick do you truly have to be to send body parts to a building filled with children???)

Sadly, for the Lin family, Jun Lin's head was recovered on the shorelines of a tiny lake in Montreal named Angrignon Park; but only after the authorities received an anonymous tip.

An arrest warrant was issued for Luka Rocco Magnotta; it quickly became nation-wide by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). The charges listed were as follows:

1. first degree murder
2. commiting an indignity to a dead body
3. publishing obscene material (videos and pictures)
4. mailing obscene, indecent, immoral material
5. criminally harassing Stephen Harper (the Prime Minister of Canada at the time), and several unnamed employees of Canadian Parliament.

On May 31, 2012, Interpol brought this to the attention of the world, as he was displayed on top of all Interpol sites for days. The authorities missed Magnotta by mere hours, at most, when he was calling from a hotel in Paris; but they were able to speak to a man that had spent some time in his company, not even realizing how dangerous his companion truly was. Luka had managed to get on a train to Berlin, Germany, under a pseudo name.

On June 4, 2012, Magnotta was taken into custody after he was caught at an internet cafe in Berlin. He appeared in court the next day, in Germany, because Interpol had a red notice, which meant he had to appear in court in order for him to be extradited back to Canada. On June 5th, the German courts agreed with Luka Magnotta, who said he had no issue with being deported to Canada to face his criminal charges.

On June 18, 2012, Luka Magnotta was military escorted back to an airport just outside of Montreal, as Canadian officials feared if the flight would be diverted or any type of legal issues they could be facing. He was immediately placed in solitary at Rivière-des-Prairies detention centre.

Next we shall talk about his trial and ultimately what he was convicted of....
