2 P's in a Pod Crime Tales

 Before I even begin with the case of Lesandro 'Junior' Guzman-Feliz  (Known as Junior). I need to make it known that there was a crime committed 2 days earlier that is very connected to this case as well. Please bear with me as I begin sorting this all out. It will be split into at least 3 blurbs. I am going to take you back to June 18, 2018. There was a 14 year old boy named Esaid Hoke, who had been allegedly chased by the same Trinitario gang members. Fortunately, Esaid survived the 16 stab wounds. His assault happened right on Bronx River Parkway, while vehicles just drove past the ongoing assault. The Triniatario gane members, left his body on the concrete median. This attack, however, appeared to have been brewing for a while. It allegedly had to do with one of the boy's ex-girlfriends.   This was another case that took a toll on many, many people; none more than Tim's parents. The McLean family sued Greyhound and later on Li, himself; but Tim's father said back in 2018 that the suit is sitting in limbo. In February 2011 and July 2015, four more passengers came forward with a lawsuit against Greyhound. This is the part of this case that BLOWS MY MIND!!! The murder happened in 2008, the courtcase didn't happen until 2009, but authorities decided that Vincent Li could have outside walks, that were supervised already by June 3, 2010. On May 30, 2011, it was said that he was responding well to his treatment and he should be allowed more freedom, but done in phases. He was able to go into town by May the following year, supervised of course... At this time he also issued a formal apology to Tim's family.   It is now July 30, 2008. Tim McLean had boarded a bus in Edmonton to head to Winnipeg, after he had done his recent stint as a carnival barker. He sat in the second last row in the back, closest to the bathroom as the bus moved along. When they arrived in Erickson, Vincent Li boarded the bus, sitting at the front, until the next rest stop, in Brandon, Manitoba. When the bus was leaving Brandon, Li, for some unknown reason, came and sat in the seat right beside Tim. This didn't seem out of the norm for Tim, who put his headphones on, leaned his head on the window and went to sleep.  Out of nowhere, Li brought out his butcher knife and began stabbing Tim in the chest and neck. Fortunately for all the other passengers and driver, they managed to get off the bus; but when three of the men attempted to rescue Tim, Li slashed his blade at them, not giving them access to the bus.   Hi Everyone. There is no easy way to ease into this case, so I'll give a little history of how it went down before you hear all the gruesome details. This one is a tough one!!! First, I will introduce the victim of this insanely hideous crime. HIs name was Timothy Richard McLean Jr.. He was a 22 year old, young man who worked for the carnivals as a barker (you know, those people who hand out flyers in public, or attract people's attention to the newest carnival or event happening in town)... He was working in Edmonton at the time. Sadly, when the murder occurred, Tim's girlfriend was pregnant. His son was born 5 months after his death; but that is not the end of the drama in his family's life. They battled Tim's girlfriend for his son, and actually won custody.   Now that Luka Rocco Magnotta was in custody, the hardest part of this case was proving how heinous he truly was and if prosecutors could convict him on all charges. This definitely didn't come with no challenges!!! Jun Lin (aka Justin Lin) was an international student who came from Wuhan in 2010, in hopes of finding a better life for himself in Canada.  He was married to a woman at some point, but they had divorced... never revealing that he was gay to anyone, especially his family. Being away from his family made it easier for him to live the life he loved. He was, for a time, living with another Asian man. Their relationship hit a dead end when Jun was being pressured by his family to settle down with a woman and have a family of his own. Jun Lin was fairly alone in Canada and had tried a few apps to meet people, including Tindr. It was revealed later that he met Luka Magnotta after he had posted an ad on Craigslist; both being very provocative, discussing bondage. Not muc...

  I left off at the point where law enforcement, pretty much around the globe were looking for the man who killed several kittens on live videos, in disgusting ways. LEO (Law Enforcement Officers) knew who the "man" was, but they had a hard time locating him. Luka Rocco Magnotta was a master of disguise; but his need for being famous and his next crime were the final "nail in his coffin"; so to speak!!! On May 25, 2012, Luka once again took to social media, on a ratchet site, where he posted an 11-minute long video of a naked man, tied to a bed frame and repeatedly being stabbed. He named the video "1 Lunatic, 1 Ice Pick".  Initially, it was believed that he used an ice pick but later it was confirmed to be a screwdriver. (The police obtained a much longer and more explicit video, revealing that cannibalism was most likely involved). He didn't get a claim to fame over that... But before we go down that road, let's dive into who this individual actually was.  Luka Rocco Magnotta was not always who he was known as. He was born as Eric Clinton Kirk Newman. He was born on July 24, 1982 in Scarborough, Ontario, CANADA. According to Luka, his mother was rather abusive and had OCD very bad; his father was diagnosed with schizophrenia, in 1994 causing Luka to be raised by his grandmother. While living with her, and attending high school, he recieved a disability allowance but that wasn't enough to suit his lifestyle, and he became a prostitute, leading to him becoming an escort to finally performing in gay pornography and  a male stripper.  Through all of this, he used various pseudo names.   We are continuing the story of Robert William Pickton, "the Butcher" aka "Pig Farm Killer". We left off with him facing several charges of first degree murder... The infamous trial began on January 30, 2006 with Pickton pleading "not guilty" to the  TWENTY-SEVEN, (yes you read that right) charges of first degree murder.  Obviously there was a lot of bickering and indecisiveness among the Supreme Court judges, one count being rejected in March and on August 9, 2006, another judge decided to split the charges... a group of six counts and the other twenty would be faced at a different trial.  As the trial began, there was a publication ban placed onthe proceedings, and because of this, the public and victims' families had no idea that Justice Williams, the judge who decided to split the cases, had actually "stayed" the other 20 counts... explaining that trying to do a trial of 26 counts would be far too much for a jury to handle. A monster who terrorized British Columbia, Canada beginning in the early 1990s until his capture in 2002. He was a serial rapist, serial killer, and a cannibal.  So the question may be why it took soooo long to capture such a creep??? His victims were people that most wouldn't have noticed were gone, (as horrid as that sounds, it is the truth)... He chose prostitutes, addicts, transients and homeless women.   This case really struck a cord with me, because I am not sure if I wouldn't have done the exact same thing. This story is about Jeff Doucet... and if you don't know his name, you will never forget it after this blurb is done... I will have to take you back 30 years ago, to 1984. Jeff Doucet (can I just call him "Douchebag???), was a sexual predator that was sexually abusing and had kidnapped 11 year-old, Jody Plauche. Jody had endured a year of the abuse before Doucet abducted him.  According to reports, Jeff Doucet had a troublesome childhood, He was born in 1959 in Port Arthur, Texas. Doucet even implied that he was sexually abused as a child. Is this a case of victim turned predator??? Jim Doucet began assaulting children in his early 20s; and he had the perfect way to get access to his victims because he was a karate instructor. Obviously parents trusted their children with him, like lambs to the slaughter. Doucet began to zone in on one particular child, 10 year old...

  Hi Everyone. I hope the day finds you in good spirits, and well. Today's crime story I want to dive into is the about the mass shooting that took place on October 25, 2023, in Lewiston, Maine USA. (This one touched me mostly because I was living just on the Canadian side of the border, at the time); so this story was frightening, considering a lot of Canadians cross the border to go shopping in Lewiston. I am going to give you all a fair warning, as this may TRIGGER some people... A man had walked into Just-in-Time Recreation bowling alley while a youth league event was happening. He  opened fire on the innocent civilians there, including children. He left the Bowling Alley and proceeded to a restaurant called Schemengees Bar & Grille.  The man, we now know is Robert Card, did manage to escape and a massive manhunt ensued as law enforcement officials gave the world a picture of him, identifying him as their suspect. His shooting spree killed 18 people, injuring anot...

  This will be the conclusion of this three part section. I wanted to post the three victims here at the top because they deserve to be remembered forever... These young, beautiful, innocent girls deserve to always be thought of... our love and thoughts are with their families and loved ones. Various other people were held accountable for the way they handled this case, including Bernardo's lawyer and the Toronto Police who failed to follow through on the tips they received... Karla served her full 12 years and was released with conditions of not being in contact with anyone under the age of 16; but for some odd reason the courts withdrew those conditions mere months later and Karla gives birth to her first child. She was refusing to work with police but changed her mind, IF she was offered full immunity.  Thankfully the courts/prosecution absolutely removed that off the table, but they DID offer her a reduced sentence, on the conditions that she would not hide anything from them, nor withhold anything that could potentially affect the outcome of the case.  I can say, THIS caused a lot of controversy in Canada, especially those deeply affected by this whole ordeal... She accepted the reduced sentence and her husband, Paul Bernardo was arrested shortly thereafter, for all the Scarborough rapes and the killing of Leslie Mahaffy and Kristen French.
