The Gruesome Death of Ellen Greenberg ~ The Controversy ~ Pt 3
We left off with the Philadelphia Police Department pressing the (Coroner), Assistant Philadelphia Medical Examiner Marlon Osbourne initially ruled her death a homicide, but changed it to suicide after a meeting with police and prosecutors... but WHY???
As I had previously mentioned, the State's Attorney General, Josh Shapiro was actively involved in this case... not just involved; but controversially involved to the point that when he was confronted with evidence contradicting the ruling of homicide; he doubled down on the ruling of suicide and blocked any attempt Ellen Rae Greenberg's parents, Joshua and Sandee Greenberg from having the case reinvestigated.
(I can only say he sort of got his karma for this decision when he was looking like one of the top choices to be the running mate of Kamala Harris, and possibly the new Vice President of the USA; but this very case made her pick Minnesota Governor Tim Walz instead.... not that this is any sort of consulation to Ellen's family).
Ellen's parents have been relentless in their pursuit of justice; really only wanting the legal system to change her death certificate from suicide to homicide. I won't get into excessive detail about Ellen and her mental health; but it is noted that she had become very depressed over the last few months of her life; even moving to her parents' place for a while.
At this time, she was able to get onto medications and speak with a psychiatrist, revealing that her fiance Samuel Goldberg was abusive and very controlling. When she felt confident enough and ready to return to her life; she came back to the aprtment she shared with Samuel. She was set on ending things with him, including having taken off her engagement ring.
It was that very night she died when she intended on telling him it was over.
(This is where things get a bit gruesome as I will be showing and explaining her wounds, and how it is literally impossible that she committed suicide).
As anyone can expect, Ellen's parents have been through insurmountable pain from this; and here were are, over a dozen years later and they are still fighting the system... even in a case that appears to be so cut and dry.
As you will see in the photos, and experts who have view2ed them, say Ellen Greenberg had three wounds that were inflicted upon her body post-mortem. Honestly, how can police dare claim that as a suicide???
Why wasn't Samuel Goldberg questioned? This is a HUGE part of the case that doesn't add up. Samuel Goldberg had lied about a few things (as per the research I could find on the case)...
He claimed that the doorman of the building was with him the entire time he was trying to kick the apartment door in; but there is video proof that the door man never left his post. Why did he lie about that???
Samuel Goldberg claimed that he needed to kick in the door because the deadbolt was on; but as per pictures of the crime scene, there is little to no damage to the deadbolt, nor the wall it was attached to. So that makes people question, was the deadbolt even on??? Why was he not able to get in??? Had Ellen Greenberg already taken the key from Goldberg, as she intended to end things with him???
There are sooooo many unanswered questions that the police didn't ask nor follow up on. WHY ARE THEY HIDING THINGS? WHY WERE THEY SO INCOMPETENT AND NEGLIGENT WITH THIS CASE??? It almost feels like they were colluding with the murderer; whether that is Samuel Goldberg, or one of their own co-workers... one has to wonder!!!
(Ironically, when the initial investigation was going on, it was revealed that one of the attorneys who was present at the meeting where the medical examiner was told to change the ruling... that lawyer was given immunity. Why were they granted immunity, if there was nothing to hide???)
After a dozen-plus years, Pennsylvania's Supreme Court has finally agreed to hear arguments from Ellen's parents, Joshua and Sandee Greenberg. Let's hope they get the justice they so rightly deserve and gain the legal standing to challenge the suicide ruling.
To Be Continued...
