"He's Homeless. No One Will Notice!" ~ The Disturbing Case of Brian Cohee Jr. ~ TRIAL & CONCLUSION!!!

The authorities have Brian Cohee Jr. in their custody; with both his parents in shock and traumatized over the horrendous things they are discovering their own child had done.

The trial of Brian Cohee Jr, who is now 21 years old started in January 2023. Brian Jr. did as we all suspected, and plead not guilt by reason of insanity. (Remember I said how his actions are not matching his "diagnosis")

The prosecution argued that during the various interrogations, Brian Cohee Jr. had confessed multiple times to different detectives that he committed the murder and the few state psychologists, who met withn Brian Jr.  had determined that he was not insane when the crime was committed.

The defense attorneys were really hanging onto the reasoning of Brian Cohee Jr's actions were because of his mental health disorders. They even attempted victim blaming, saying it was Warren Barnes who triggered Cohee, which technically made him insane during the murder.

The trial from beginning to end, lasted 12 days, including 2 days of deliberation of the jury. Of course there were some pretty intense and emotional days because both of Brian Cohee Jr's parents were called to testify on the witness stand.

What parent wants to testify against their child, or present damning information to the courts about them???

Terri, as his primary care giver revealed that her son, Brian Jr. had been on various medications since he was 5 years old to treat his autism, ADHD, and anxiety.

She recalled his obsession with the movie, that Sir Anthony Hopkins and Jodie Foster are infamously know for... "The Silence of the Lambs", and that she discovered what prosecutors described as a "kill kit"—a backpack containing zip ties, a hammer, and duct tape.

Brian Sr. didn't have a lot to say about his son neither, as his testimony was pretty damning by itself. He admits that he also remembers their son always picking inappropriate movies for family night. Brian Cohee Sr. reveals that he found Barnes' wallet in his son's car, with a knife and gloves AFTER the accident.

When both Terri and Brian Sr. were both asked to reveal what they did when they saw the blood on Brian Jr's car after it was pulled from the river; now known as the night Warren "Reading Man" Barnes died. Brian had told his dad that he had cut his finger; but told his mom that it was fake theatrical blood.

(Interesting that both parents grew very suspicious of their son when they seen the blood; obviously at different times, yet neither parent spoke to the other, to compare notes, or even share their confusion or frustration... Sorry, I just find this very odd behaviour!!!)

After a two-day jury deliberation, they found Brian Cohee Jr. guilty:

first-degree murder (life in prison, with no possibility of parole)
tampering with a deceased human body (2 X 12 yr sentences to run comcurrently)
tampering with evidence.  (18 months, to run consecutively)

Brian Cohee Jr. declined to speak during the hearing. He is currently incarcerated at the Buena Vista Correctional Complex in Chaffee County, Colorado. (To this day, he hasn't shown as ounce of remorse to the Barnes family).
