Bad Ass Mom ~ The Case of Miriam Elizabeth Rodriguez Martinez Part 2

 

Miriam had been disappointed after giving Zetas gang member Sama two thousand dollars for his help in finding her abducted daughter, and nothing came of that; until one day... 

She did however admit to her other daughter that she now believed Karen was dead, but was now on a mission of justice and will NOT rest until she has hunted down each one of her kidnappers.

This mother went into FBI mode, searching all over the world-wide web, using social media to find out where Sama lived, or frequented. She would go into his neighbourhood after she dyed her hair red and wore on old uniform. She had noticed on social media that he would spend a lot of time at one of his female acquaintance's work. 

Miriam spotted him there and would begin following him. Miriam followed him to find out his address, and began going around to the neighbours in the guise of doing polls. She clearly was frustrated because authorities were absolutely refusing to help her in any way; but there was one federal agent who offered some help, after seeing how incredible and dilligent Miriam was in gathering information.

Sama thought he was lucky when he managed to evade the police; but that didn't last long. He happened to one day walk into Miriam's son, Luis' store, who recognized him. 

He called his mother, and Sama was arrested on Independence Day 2014; where he proved what kind of "man" he truly was... bawling his eyes out, pleading for his life. In interrogation, he sang like a canary, naming names to the authorities. 

Those members were brought in for questioning, and they too revealed information, one even offering to take the police to the location where Karen had been killed.

This is where things get interesting...

I do not understand why Miriam was allowed to go to the crime scene, let alone wander around the site. However it happened, Miriam found Karen's scarf, a cushion seat from her truck and her femur bone... 

Finding this seemed to pour gasoline onto the fire already inside this grieving mother!!! She renewed her search to find each and everyone of the men involved in the abduction and murder of her daughter, Karen. Miriam openly admitted that even though she had found her daughter's body, nothing will ever be normal for her again. 

Honestly, I don't know any parent who wouldn't feel the same!!!

Miriam Elizabeth Rodriguez Martinez, in the meantime had become a Mexican Human Rights Activist, and started helping other families search for their lost loved ones. This woman was incredible!!!
